Maurice Li is a photographer & visual content creator with a passion for commercial and travel photography. Whether shooting a street photo essay in Hong Kong, a royal visit across Canada, or an ad campaign in Vancouver’s emerging Gastown, his aim is always to capture truly remarkable images.
Maurice has photographed for clients such as Apple, Cossette, VIA Rail, Lexus, DentsuBos, Travel Alberta, DDB, Ace Hotel, the Canadian Tourism Commission, the Museum of Vancouver, Proctor & Gamble, Citizen Optimum and Audi. His work has appeared in prominent outlets such as the Guardian, the Boston Globe’s Big Picture, Booooooom!, Buzzfeed, Vancouver Magazine and other publications. Maurice has also shot notable events such as Will and Kate’s Royal Tour of Canada, TEDx Vancouver, The ArcticNet Annual Scientific Meeting and the Red Cross Red Carpet Soiree.
In addition to traditional photography, Maurice is a renowned mobile phone photographer with an extremely large and engaged following on Instagram. He has shot successful ad campaigns using only his iPhone. Maurice has an in-depth understanding of social media in general and how it can be leveraged to help clients garner more exposure for their marketing, PR and social initiatives. He also has the proven ability to generate well-crafted photographic content for social media & blog campaigns.
In the summer of 2013, Maurice co-founded Stay & Wander, a boutique digital agency focused on collaborating with brands and other agencies to expand their reach and engagement on Instagram.
